Thirteen-year-old Isidro has big dreams to become an engineer. Driven by his curiosity, he likes to tinker with whatever he can get his hands on. He loves to dissect and discover the inner mechanics of the world around him. When Isidro was diagnosed with cancer of the nervous system, he struggled to understand the inner workings of his condition. On the outside, he still felt like a vibrant kid, but on the inside, his body was fighting to stay strong.
When deciding on what his one true wish would be, Isidro chose something to propel his future. The opportunity to have a design studio complete with a 3D printer would allow him to bring his imagination to life. Once the equipment was all set-up and the lights flashed green, Isidro was excited to experiment with his designs. He wasted no time and started working on several of his long awaited concepts. Isidro was eager to finally share these projects with friends and family.
"Since his diagnosis, we have been taking everything one day at a time," Isidro's mom, Susan, shared. When Isidro is working in his design studio, he is reminded that he has a bright future and that there is more to look forward to.
