Abigail’s friends, Minnie and Mickey Mouse, got her through long days of treatment while she was in the hospital. She would spend hours watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and watching any movie involving Mickey. When asked what she dreamed of when she thought about her wish, 4-year-old Abigail said she imagined “saying hi to Mickey and then [saying] Mickey loves everyone.” And there could be no better place to visit Mickey than Walt Disney World!
Abigail and her family could hardly believe all of the fun that Give Kids the World had to offer – from ice cream for breakfast to a life-size Candy Land board! When they weren’t busy playing at Give Kids the World, Abigail and her family were on the hunt for Mickey Mouse and some of Abigail’s other favorite characters in the Disney Parks. “Abby’s greatest dream to kiss Mickey Mouse on the nose” finally came true and she “was able to be a kid again after such a long year fighting leukemia.”
Upon returning home, Abigail’s mom said that her wish made it possible for her entire family to “experience joy again.” Everything about Abigail’s wish was “absolutely magical!”
Abigail's wish was adopted by TIC Cup Charities, along with three other wishes this year. TIC Cup Charities was the top fundraiser for Make-A-Wish Colorado last year!
