This year, Make-A-Wish Colorado went through a total office renovation including the redesign of its Wishing Room, a place where wish kids can come to decide on their wish or just relax and spend time in the office. The room was designed to look like a castle, complete with a knight, throne and palace walls. To celebrate and thank all who made the Wishing Room possible, Make-A-Wish Colorado held an open house celebration on Thursday, October 16th.
About 70 individuals came to celebrate and thank the donors and volunteers who helped transform the Wishing Room. Joan Mazak, Make-A-Wish Colorado President and CEO, and Dennis Brown, Board Chairman, welcomed guests to the celebration. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of a plaque, now displayed in the Wishing Room. The plaque recognizes Sandy and Tim Knouff as well as artists from Axius Studios and Stanmark Electric who dedicated their time and talent in making the Wishing Room a true work of art.
Throughout the evening, guests dined on food and refreshments fit for a king. A heartfelt special thanks to Anthony’s Pizza and Pasta for generously donating their delicious food to the festivities.
The open house was a great success and a time to recognize those who helped make the Wishing Room possible.
