Robert's wish to have an electric cello

“I can keep it forever ”
- Robert

Robert, a 17 year old from Lafayette, is a smart young man with a bright future.

He enjoys participating in track and field, playing video games, eating spicy foods and playing the cello. Unfortunately, Robert’s world changed completely in October of last year as he was diagnosed with leukemia. The diagnoses turned his normal teenage life into something unrecognizable.

After his diagnosis, Robert met with the Make-A-Wish® Colorado staff and shared with them his one true wish—an electric cello with a carbon fiber bow! Robert commented that he wanted an electric cello because he saw a future in it, maybe the doors to his career and during his wish interview Robert said, “Something spoke to me about it. I can use it in church, my friend has one and I can keep it forever!” Make-A-Wish was thrilled to grant Robert’s one true and in February, Robert received his cello and electric bow.

We are happy to report that Robert is now in remission and is looking forward to a wonderful future filled with outstanding music.
