After being diagnosed with a brain tumor at 7-years-old, Isabelle did her best to forget about her condition by filling her thoughts with make-believe stories and her favorite Disney characters. Her imagination sent her to a world where she skips and sings alongside Frozen princesses, Anna and Elsa, during the day before attending the ball with Cinderella at night. Back in her reality, a special gift in the form of a wish-come-true helped Isabelle explore a new, exciting world at Walt Disney World Resort®
where she would be the princess she always dreamed of being.
From the time their plane touched down in Florida to the moment she headed back west, Isabelle was smiling from ear to ear. With four tickets to Universal Studios in hand, Isabelle and her family raced to the parks. Once there, it was hard to find time in their schedule that wasn’t filled with wild roller coasters. Isabelle’s favorite part was the 3-D ride; Despicable Me Minion Mayhem™, where you get lost in the twist and turns of Gru’s super villain laboratory and a minion-inspired dance party is the only means of escaping. For as many silly giggles as there were during their time with the minions, there were just as many screams as Isabelle and her family dropped and splashed right out of Space Mountain. “Again, again,” Isabelle joyfully cheered. “Isabelle loved Universal Studios,” Sarah, Isabelle’s mom, shared, “it was so hard getting her to leave each night.” Though the rides offered her much amusement, Isabelle was most happy when she was interacting, in person, with the princesses she’s loved for so long. “Watching her hug and talk with Elsa, Anna and Cinderella was truly something special,” exclaimed Sarah.
Now back home in Colorado, Isabelle dreams of the day where she can return to Disney World. Until then, you can find Isabelle playing make-believe games with new toys and souvenirs from her wish trip.
